Still wide awake...

It's 1:00 AM and I only have an hour and a half left before I have to wake up and leave for work, but here I am, still wide awake and in frigging terrible pain. I have no fucking idea why this happens whenever I have a cold, but my ear swells up like mad and it's painful as fuck, so painful I can't sleep even if I want to. It hurts like hell and there are times when the pain just spiked up all of a sudden and it makes you feel as if something hairy and sharp was clawing out of your ears. It's that bad. And to make things worse, some icky liquid comes out of it and if I sleep on my side, it would flow to the inner part of my ear. I've already taken several painkillers to make the ache stop, but all to no avail and since I haven't slept a wink, I've decided not to go to work tomorrow, or scratch that, today and just go to the doctor instead.

I would usually push myself to still go to work even if I'm burning up with a fever or if I have a bad stomachache, but this pain is just driving me crazy and all I really want to do now is to chop my ears off or take an entire bottle of painkillers or sleeping pills for that matter so I won't have to bother that much with the pain.

I feel so terrible right now I want to cry or break something.
