I've never really had a best friend.

Lots of friends... yes.

A couple of close friends... yes.

I've considered a few people as my best friend before, but I guess it hurts to know that the feeling isn't mutual.

It must felt really nice to hear someone calling you their best friend.

It's pretty sad sometimes, ne? I do feel envious when your friends talk about their best friend to you and you're like 'Wow. Why don't I have one?' :(
