I've never really had a best friend.

Lots of friends... yes.

A couple of close friends... yes.

I've considered a few people as my best friend before, but I guess it hurts to know that the feeling isn't mutual.

It must felt really nice to hear someone calling you their best friend.

Me too and it sucks when that happens. You can't help but feel insignificant, that no matter what you do for them, you're just not enough. *sighs*
